The Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) and the Quality Assurance Association of Maryland (QAAM) are looking for practitioners who have an interest and the ability to share their expertise and knowledge by presenting at the 7th Annual QAI & QAAM Regional Conference on September 10th -11th, 2008 in Baltimore, Maryland. The theme for this year's conference is "How to Manage and Control your IT Projects". As we all know cost, schedule and quality are key drivers for any project, but assuring we built the right product is paramount to a successful project. Therefore the conference's theme is meant to focus on practical implementation examples, project success stories, lessons learned, methodologies and tools used (such as checklists, forms, procedures, dashboards, templates and plans), positive or negative results of management approaches and implementation of standards. Each session will be 2.5 hours in length (included is a half hour break) to be able to effectively share your industry expertise and knowledge with the conference attendees. Please submit your presentation topic, detailed abstract outlining your learning objectives and a short biography no later than March 9th, 2008. Preparing and presenting at the conference are a good way to earn your re-certification continuing education credits.
