Ready, Set, Test - Giving Testers The Right Stuff!
Software and system testing has become a solid science and is no longer considered an art. As a result, the quality of the testing function depends on the quality of the inputs to the process. Aside from the individual capability of the test engineers, the value of testing can be directly correlated to the quality of the inputs. This session explores why the odds that the testing activity will achieve its overall goal for product quality will be low if artifacts, such as business requirements, specifications, design documents or interfaces are not clearly documented .
Taking The Complete Advantage of Early Test Involvement
Testers are getting involved in the early phases of development. They need to utilize the early phase more efficiently to avoided last minute risk. Tester should clearly understand the functionality they are expected to test. Most of the time the new functionality getting added will bring down the product stability. The functional verification tester therefore may need to need to waita considerable time to get a stable product. (Stable product is the one in which all the regression defects are fixed and the product is testable). This delay in testing will casue a delay in the product development. This presentation discusses some techniques to help avoid the risk of defects being identified late in the project and minimize the product development delay.
Traceability - A Coverage Assurance For Software Testing
Traceability is gaining importance in the software testing practice and in the software development life cycle as a whole to avoid defects cropping up in the test execution phase and to provide 99% defect free quality product to the customer. Traceability is one which links all the software life cycle together by tracing from the requirements to defects. It ensures 100% functional coverage by preparing the testing artifacts in an efficient manner. It also provides the client with the coverage assurance and a 99% defect free product before implementation stage. This session will review traceability issues and the possible solutions to ensure that the customer satisfaction is met.

Free Web Application Testing Tools
Learn about directories listing free web testing tools and watch some of the tools in action as they validate your favorite web sites. Does your web site properly format HTML, CSS, and XML? Does your web site have missing links? Is it compatible with current browser configurations and search engine bots? Are there any easily identified security holes and performance issues?
Best Practices in Automating and Accelerating Workflow for a 30% Efficiency Gain Using several case studies, this session will introduce a technology approach that automates and accelerates the development/testing workflow and related processes for an efficiency gain of up to 50%, thereby enabling IT teams to increase testing coverage, achieve project milestones and release dates, and bring higher-quality applications to market faster. Mr. Ben-Moshe will discuss how leading companies in the gaming, healthcare and IT outsourcing industries are using best practices and application problem resolution technology to meet their software release schedules and deliver higher quality applications.

CONFERENCE WRAP-UP
Tom Ticknor
COO of Quality Assurance Institute Worldwide
Workshop: Building A Plan-of-Action Using Conference Best Practices Using lessons learned at the conference, plus QAI consultants' insight into "the best of the best conference ideas," the QAI professional staff will work directly with you to build a plan of action to take back to your testing group. The QAI planning process will be used to help select the ideas that can be quickly implemented in your testing group. These are ideas that have quick payback and ideas that will get support from your managers and peers. This is a consulting engagement and is designed to maximize the benefits your organization can obtain from attending this conference.
